Oral swabs

Oral swab sampling is the best and easiest way to collect DNA samples from painless, safe and hygienic methods. If done properly, the sample size obtained is sufficient.

The sample steps are as follows:

1. Before sampling
Please don’t eat anything 30 minutes before sampling. If you smoke, rinse your mouth with water before sampling.

2. Sampling of oral cells
Take a swab, put it in the mouth, gently rotate the swab on the left side of the cheek and gently rotate the swab 3-5 laps so that the swab heads are fully exposed to the mucous membrane. In the same way, the second swab will be swab on the right side of the cheek and gently rotate the swab 3-5 laps.

3. Oral swab treatment
Please put the swab of the test sample into the sample collection bottle and break the handle, then seal it and complete the sampling.

4. After sampling
Register relevant information on the bottle, such as “name”, “gender”, “age” and “sampling date”. Don’t forget to fill in the information on the sample registration form. If you choose to be anonymous, please fill out your own number. The collection bottle is sent to the testing agency for testing.
