Now there are many tie-dye printed face masks on the market, which are popular with consumers and can even sell tens of thousands of units per month. But some people question: do these face masks really have the function of epidemic prevention?
In fact, the most crucial point to determine whether a face mask has the function of epidemic prevention is to look at the code!
The outer packaging of the regular face masks should be marked with the implementation standard code, and only these five codes can really meet the requirements of epidemic prevention: medical protective masks (GB19083-2010), medical surgical masks (YY0469-2011), disposable medical masks (YY/T 0969-2013), daily protective masks (GB/T 32610-2016) and children’s masks ( GB/T 38880-2020).
In addition, the state has made clear provisions on the quality of tie dye of civil masks: the requirement that the color fastness of the inner and outer layers of the mask shall not be lower than three levels to prevent the discomfort caused by dye shedding on the skin of the human face; tie dye parts shall not detect decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes.
